The Honorable Kenny Guinn
Governor of Nevada
Carson City, NV  89701

Dear Governor Guinn:

Walker Lake is a national treasure.  Walker Lake is known for its world class trout fishery, the extraordinary number of birds that depend on it, and for abundant recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

Without your help, the Lake's fragile foodchain will begin to collapse from increasing salt levels.  Please dedicate state resources today to provide emergency fresh water to Walker Lake this spring. This temporary action is needed until a long-term water supply for the lake can be secured.

Walker Lake is dying. As Governor of Nevada, you are responsible for not only the residents but also the delicate resources that make Nevada unique. The survival of Walker Lake depends on you.  Please take action today to preserve this lake for future generations.

Sincerely,

Walker Lake:  Nevada's International Treasure
